Paul Walsh,
popular artist of the Oklahoma Landscape, creates watercolor and
acrylic works that sizzle with energy or create a soft mood for
reflection. His view of painting is expressed in these words:
Oklahoma is a rich environment visually for a landscape artist .I
often worry about our modern lives disconnecting us from the land
that nourishes us both physically and emotionally. As a child while
traveling, I remember thinking about where dirt roads lead and often
longed to stop
and 'wonder' up a little creek. The feeling of exploration and awe
is fragile and necessary to growth and joy. Paul has taught
art for the past 37 years, 35 years of this at Sulphur High School.
He is an award winning artist as well as a popular workshop leader.
